Product Development

ENGINEERED,
PROTOTYPED, TESTED

Every SaltVector product is assessed with a clear purpose in mind. Ideas are developed, tested and refined until the result performs as intended.

  1. 01

    Concept

A product only starts when there is a specific fishing problem to solve a profile, an action or a rod behavior that is missing from the tackle box.

  2. 02

    CAD Design

Bodies, tail sections and hook channels are modelled digitally so dimensions, volume and balance can be adjusted precisely before anything is made.

  3. 03

    Prototype

Prototype moulds and blank samples are produced in small runs so multiple variations of the same idea can be compared side by side.

  4. 04

    Testing

Prototypes are tested in clear water to observe action, then fished in real conditions across the applications they were designed for.

  5. 05

    Refinement

Findings go back into CAD. Thickness, taper and material blends are changed and re-tested until the behaviour is consistent, not just acceptable.

  6. 06

    Production

Only once a product performs the way it was intended does it move to production. If it doesn't earn its place, it doesn't get released.

About SaltVector

SaltVector is being developed in Australia with one goal: to build fishing equipment that earns its place in an angler's tackle box.

Products are designed for a reason, not released to expand a range. If an idea doesn't hold up on the water, it doesn't move forward.
